Default [REQ] Battle of Savo Island

just read about this in the book of the same name - allies took a pasting (4 cruisers sunk I believe incl Vincennes, Astoria and 2 others incl 1 aussie cruiser) and the japs only had minor damage.

any chance of recreating this? PBB instead of the cruisers would prolly do it. :P

It wouldn't be too hard. There are several charts floating around on the internet and in books showing exactly where all of the ships were.

Someone is building a playable Brooklyn class, which would be a good stand-in vessel for one of the heavy cruisers.

BTW, the other ships sunk were Quincy and HMAS Canberra (which is already ingame, fortunately).

The Northampton class can easily replace the New Orleans class Cruisers since they were very similar ships
