SH5 Graphics Settings
So my uber desktop machine is packed for now and i'm playing SH5 on lappy386 and things are "ok" but not fantastic. It shows 20-25 fps but i notice a little bit of lag between inputs of the mouse and the cursor moving and it's maddening when things are hot & heavy and the lag makes me miss a button (teeny compared to sh3 controls).
My laptop is an ASUS GV50T - Core 2 Duo P8700 / 2.53 GHz - GeForce 9800M GS (512mb) - 4gigs of ram I had everything max/max/max - i tried turning off anti-aliasing with absolutely no improvement so i don't think that's my bottleneck. I really need to get my big rig up & running but there are advantages to getting this game going on the laptop as well. Any ideas? |

Do you have patch 2 for MO? If so, install the D3DAntilag mod that is included with it.

Since you are using a laptop you probably also want to remove the shadows mod from MO. There is an add-on mod in patch 2 to remove it.

Question: Do i uninstall the UI mod once i have the MO mod installed?
For some reason, ever since intalling the MO mod i don't have the attack wheel in my periscope. Maybe the two useroptions files are conflicting? |

You don't need my UI mod when using MO. You can install the latest test version of the UIs mod over MO (install last) though Just realize if you do that the options file in the test version will overwrite your exisiting options file. If you want to preserve your current options file settings use the options migrator (\data\Applications)

I think MO refers to an old mega mod called Magnum Opus which I think is obsolete by now because currently there are better and more SH5 updated mods like The wolves of Steel......http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=210703
