Default Sim in development by noob indie : T-17 Tanky

http://closedchamber.com/

T-17 Tanky is a relaxed-realism armored vehicle simulator for PC.

It's in an early stage, but I've released a demo featuring a quick battle creator. You can drive the powerful T-17 tank, as well as other vehicles, friendly and enemy, and a helicopter.

Demo: http://closedchamber.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=5

My goal is to incrementally develop an easy-to-play fantasy sim, that nonetheless incorporates many armored fighting fundamentals. Weapons, targetting, armor, defensive systems, artillery, aircraft, and command. But with simple controls and a casual gameplay focus..

Thanks for reading, I'd be delighted for any impressions or feedback.

It does look brilliant. Not a fan of the casual theme, but the mechanics and physics look very solid.

Looks awesome!

The tank looks like the Italian tank Ariete.

Looks like a fun game.

My suggestion make it an Iphone games and sell it. It looks very promising.

Good eye Castout. Most of the vehicles will be simplified versions of real vehicles, with similar equipment layout (I am lazy). Iphone is not a bad idea, if I could get it to fit. I will start with a PC version, with a single-player Angry Birds style campaign.

ajrimmer42, it's just me so far. I studied programming a few years before starting the game earlier this year. Before that I did some models for Il-2 Sturmovik.

Forget Iphone. Make it for Ipad.

Sell this!!! It's so awesome.

If you can an option to select the adversary would be great so your enemy is not limited to Russian tanks. You do need to create another race for each adversary. Wolf say for German tanks, etc.

But even when you do not make any other enemy race it's so brilliant.

Thanks Castout, I'm happy you think the gameplay works (and the program doesn't crash )

A dog race is indeed planned for the campaign, both good and bad guys. Based on theoretical liberation of East Germany by nordic birds (I want S-Tank, ok?).

That is neat! I think it would do well as a app for phones.

I must say, I'm with Arc on the not normally liking casual games like this, but you sir have done an incredible job. It is addictive and fun, and the mechanics are well done. Keep up the good work, and if you do sell it for Iphone, would you consider a version for droid? I so would not hesitate to buy it if you did.

Phones are all the rage these days. This game wouldn't work as-is (too much memory usage and requires 32 bit index buffers) but in the future, maybe a version. Also, Xbox.

But for a first attempt, I'm really happy it's playable and stable for you guys. I hope you like the full game release in August/Sept.
