I've seen it riddled with holes courtesy of the two Hinds, but it's always made it home.

The helo AI doesn't know what "standoff" means currently, new AI in next patch though.

There's 2 ways to make a FAC: have him magically know about the targets you want him to provide assistance on, or only for targets he can actually detect. I used the non-cheating FAC at the practice area, so aparently he's just completely oblivious to anything near him.

From Monday's Flight night. Shot of HBB coming out of a cloud.

No matter what mission it is, there is always that one cloud.
Can't wait to get back in with you guys one of these days, and really shake down this new HOTAS Warthog. Not sure how I flew this sim for a year without it...

Sorry, my intention is to fly it into pieces before I switch.

Righto, mission changed a bit:
- all aircraft actually have a flightplan. Might actually be of any use, or not.
- load-outs changed to TGP, ECM, Sidewinders, M151 rockets (frag, soft targets), Mav H, Mav D, 6x Mk-82AIR (easily reconfigured for slick delivery, can teach that in a minute or 2 if nescesary), a CBU-87 and a GBU-38.
Flight leads substitute some of that for M156 WP, CBU-107 and GBU-12.
- ground FAC refused to work, so was replaced with AFAC. Predator on station at the training range (131MHz) and the first objective (141MHz).
- Kiowa is gone. Suicidal git.
- F-16s may or may not be usefull now.

Mission assumes 2x 4-ship flight;
101 - Hawg 1-1
102 - Hawg 2-1
103 - Hawg 3-1
104 - Hawg 4-1
201 - Boar 1-1
202 - Boar 2-1
203 - Boar 3-1
204 - Boar 4-1

Might be handy to set the net settings accordingly (0101,0102,..,0201,0202,...,etc). Preferably respawn your plane, rather than switching slots. (Rctl + Rshift + tab)

Will be up in ~1,5 hour, 21:00gmt

Do we want day or night?

How about an hour or so of daylight, and then drift into night?

Well, dawn and dusk are a pain. Can't see anything outside but still too bright to use NVG.

Very well.

Either works though. Actually find it easier to spot stuff at night with the NVG. Higher contrast I guess. It's really that twilight that kills ability to deliver pretty much anything unguided.

Who'd have thought this would get home in one piece?

Dowly causing a traffic jam?

I thought if I was low enough I'd not be detected, sadly as the first two SAMs approached I pulled up, this was the third hitting whatever remained.

Raptor's very first drop of a Paveway, will it find it's designated target?

Raptor's hit.

I've seen it done on youtube...

And this!

Will I get out in time?

Ooh, I'm horizontal, shall I sit this one out? Sadly I think I'm already dead as I could not eject.

That's the only damage to the KC-135? Enough to make him wobble you'd think?

Arclight's textbook (as usual) landing, please note the 250 kts airframe rapidly approaching!

It was never going to work on that attempt. Still, at least he got back to the airfield.
