Missed out on flight night due to stuffing my face because of Thanksgiving.

Tonight I shall see if I can last more than 20 minutes without either the wife pestering me for my time, or TIR erroring, or just randomly being booted out of A-10C.

If I last past that 20 minutes I may well just blow something up that isn't my a/c.

Sorry about that. Fell asleep.

Could catch up over the weekend or something, open to suggestions.

Always open for that matter. If someone feels like flying we can always try to wrangle something up.

Right, let's try this one for a change:

Enemy forces are deployed in defensive positions along the river.

It's divided up into 4 "batallions" and a HQ. Battallions are formed from 4 tank platoons (3x T-72), 2 light armor groups (BMP-2 and 2x BTR-80), a mobile mortar battery (4x 2S9) and a self-propelled artillery battery (4x 2S3). The HQ comprises 3 buildings to be taken down.

Direct threats are a short range SAM, 4 Shilka's and 3x AAA. The SAM is positioned close to the HQ, the Shilka's are located with the batallions (1 each) and the AAA is within the HQ perimeter.

2x AFAC available; Uzi 3-1 and Colt 4-1 on 31MHz and 41MHz respectively.

Friendly flights consist of 2 2-ship CAS flights, a 2-ship ground attack flight and an AFAC (all A-10C).

Respective load-outs:
2x CBU-87, 4x Mk-82, 3x AGM-65D, 3x AGM-65H, 2x MK5 (HEAT) rocket pods

2x CBU-105, 2x GBU-31, AGM-65G, AGM-65K, TGP, ECM

2x GBU-38, AGM-65D, AGM-65H, M156 (smoke) rocket pod, TGP, ECM

Only just got on, having real problems with WMIPRVSE using a continuous 50% CPU and struggling to locate the cause.

Looks like it would've been great tonight, a nice change. Was up for a flight even though I can't mount my TrackClip Pro any more!

Well we'll run the new one for a bit. There's no time pressure and the anti-air is light. To be honest I'm a bit weary of seeing people get shot down, it only stops happening because the SAMs run out of missiles.

Point being that I always feel rushed to get in there, in order to take out the defences. Normally I would hold back and orbit for a bit, mark out enemy positions and then engage (hopefully) effectively. But by the time I head, everyone else is generally already shot down.

That was a great night.
Me, Arc, and Herr lining up on the runway

Me in the A10 flying past Arc in the KA50

My A10 just finished being repaired and rearmed, Arc in the K50 buzzing me waiting for Spike (who was having some serious crashing on take-off issues)

Me, Arc, and Herr

Herr in the A10. I didn't see him before my turn. I dove under him.

Arc getting shot down.

Arc flying in formation. He did a pretty good job.

Me getting shot down. Lesson of the day don't attack a ZSU-23 with a cannon.

Yeah, I nearly ran into the back of Arc - I throttled forward then went to external cam to see us all lining up, and forgot to turn - duh! Still, I didn't touch him, and even if I did I know he has a really great crew chief who can iron out anything.

Why do I feel the need to gloat whenever Perfect Peter gets shot down? (No McBee, if you read this it says 'feel the need to gloat', not 'feel a goat'.)

Just what manoeuvre did he think he was doing to not even realise a whole wing was missing?

That aside, you both did an excellent job looking at all the burning, I only destroyed one (enemy) thing, and tried to take out another Shilka with my plummeting wreckage. And failed.

Spike did a fair amount of damage to the enemy when he managed to take-off without crashing.
