Most likely NOT. The ship calls in TMO are for the most part different than in FotRS. It would most likely crash the game. If it doesn't crash immediately, you might get some ships to "show" OK, but a lot of them will crash the game if you try to shoot at them, or ID them with the Recognition Manual. Our plan is to add-in things like that, but that will come later, after we're certain that what we have here "functions as intended", as we used to say in my old signal construction gang on the RR...

hi folks,am an old timer who use to play SH3 a few years back.I was checking out subsim the other day and noticed this mod release.I have a SH4 disc which I bought in 2008 and have never played!So the aim is to try this mod,what version of SH4 do I need and how do I install the mod,is it through JSGME?

If your disk has "Gold Edition" on it, you're 'golden' and good to go. However, that didn't come out until October of 2008 - according to wikipedia, and we all know how accurate they are...

Anyway, Fall of the Rising Sun Ultimate requires v1.5 of Silent Hunter 4, which is the version with the Uboats. It is JSGME compatible.

Edit: Man, there are no links at Amazon that you could use to get Silent Hunter 4 Gold from SubSim here, unless you want to spend $75-100 US on it... Steam charges $10 for the Uboats add-on, which is how much they charge for the full game... I'm sure it's available elsewhere also.

Give a look on the web and you ll find some good 1.5 version with uboot missions too.

A question to the devs: the ship accelleration is too fast. I go from 0 to 10 kn very fast. And also underwaters especially right or left full rudder you develop 8 kn. Now i would know if that is for balance in some way harder escorts, or if in future need adjustment. The only real flaw of this mod i think is that accelleration really too fast

We really have no way of knowing ArditoCorsaro. We'll have to look at about all aspects of the "S" boats, and compare them to stock and probably TMO and get a happy middle ground, we'll hope... I suppose that if you go from a standstill at Stop, and hit Ahead !/3, you go practically immediately to 2-3 knots? Try it also from Ahead to a Reverse speed, and see how quickly it responds. Enjoy it while you can though... XTBilly fixed the DD and DE doing that, so now maybe we'll have to copy that for the Fleet Boats (and the pre- models).

Also the other.classes do that. Yes they seems cars. Underwater i reach immediatly 2-3 kn and in 10 sec 9 kn. Also the dive speed, and surface speed is really fast. I hope adjudt this issues, like the recharge batteries times (days if you re to 0-25%. You cant stay all day submerged and night time recharge) because is awesome your mod.

Good spot! Looking closer at the dat & eqp file the lower guns on node m01 & mo4 are both 5.5in_single_base_jp

The upper guns on nodes m02 & m03 "Your no textures" are calling for a "6InchBRDoubleT:
Yet my DATA - LIBRARY - ShipParts - does not have this item...

Time to dig around my backups..
