This sim can evoke some foul language

April 30, 1942 East of Truk

Narwhal Class(Donation) USS Nautilus

Departed Pearl on 10 April 1942 on first patrol. Decided to patrol East of Truk and see if any warships depart for the coral sea operation.

On April 25 caught a large freighter, aux cruiser escorted by a torpedo boat coming out of Truk's east pass. Fired two torpedoes at each target. Two prematurely exploding, alerting hem, causing the Aux Cruiser to speed up, remaining torpedo passed aster but another struck the large freighter amidships, set it on fire.Went to 250 feet, took a beating from that and two patrol vessels responding from Truk but escaped with a damaged pump and stern tube.Sunk 7000 ton Seia Maru

April 30 1730 hours picked up warships on hydrophones. Closed to find four heavy cruisers heading WSW a 14 knots with no escort. High speed run put me 1900 yards off track, fired on an Aoba heavy cruiser. Aoba skillfully managed to evade all four torpedoes. One came so close it actually exploded astern but apparently did little to no damage as Aoba CA steamed on at high speed.

Surfaced into the dusk to try and chase them down but soon planes from truk were swarming forced us down until after dark. With battery at 30 percent, had to give it up.

May have let some salty language fly lol. Love this sim but drives me crazy sometime.

Note: The group encountered was Cruiser Division 6 Kako, Aoba, Furutaka, and Kinugasa heading for coral sea operations. Added the Aoba class cruisers from FOTRS into RSRD.
