I'm really undecided whether I like Tapatalk at all. Part of visiting a forum is serendipity. Tapatalk is built around giving you what you want. What if I visited a thread out of curoisity and didn't see anything interesting? Tapatalk bombards me with notifications about that thread!

And it tells me nothing about threads I haven't visited. Sure doesn't take the place of visiting Subsim in a browser and I haven't decided if what it does really makes it all that more convenient.

I feel like a horse with blinders on when I use it. Of course, to some degree, that's true of all internet access on a cell phone.

I turned off notifs and I use the Browse button to surf the forum same as a browser. I'm old school and I think websites like Subsim should hold out until the last PC winks out.... but I get 10 emails a week asking why there isn't a mobile or responsive version...so, bending to the will of the people.

Slightly OT tip:

A good gamer use of smart phones especially older ones (ones that you didn't trade in) is to set them up with Adobe Reader and then load them up with the PDF manuals (and/or other various docs) you might like to peruse either in the Doc's office or even as a side reference while the game is loaded. If the manual/doc is not in PDF format, there are various conversion programs out there to assist in converting it to PDF format.

I use my smart phone as a remote control for Clementine Music Player, so I don't have to do radio mods in SH4 to listen to what I want. That way I can leave the game full screen and run Clementine from my cell phone.

Tapatalk switched off, we now have a responsive mobile theme that should work by default on mobile devices.
