balao sleep problems

I always modify my config files so that each sub compartment gives -1.0 sleep (so you are 100% rested after any sleep).

it has worked perfectly until.. now.

running my first mission with my balao, and for some reason the game has decided that no compartments give ANY sleep value at all.

my crew is dying of fatigue!

I even tried resetting the fatigue values in the savegame files manually to no avail (the game immediately resets the fatigue values, AND sets all the sleepcoef for each compartment to 0.0 again!).

I cannot figure out what went wrong, or how to fix it.

any ideas?

again, first time I have ever seen this problem, and it started with balao.

the only difference I made between the balao and any of the other subs, is I added two more crew boxes to the damage control area (so 11 crew instead of 9), and that worked fine. can't imagine that would affect sleep?

edit:

it looks like the game is entirely ignoring the config files for the balao, and replacing them with something it pulled from some nether region.

it replaced all efficiency denominators with "1" as well.

so, if it helps... it looks like when I start a mission, the game is using some entirely different file reference for the balao than any other sub, and it's broke.
