Default What Is The Best Pirate Game?

The Question is Quite Simple, What Is The Best Pirate Game?

And, Can You Tell me About That New Pirates! From Sid?

Is it a bit Easier Than Pirates Gold?

Fencing Mostly.....................

BTW, Submarines and Sailing Ships

Read the other posts here about "PIRATES"
CB, myself and others cover the game quite well.
There have been many games about pirates and
they all have their strengths and weaknesses.
My advice is to DL the demos and try them.
This should give you an idea on which of them
suits your likes and needs....

I had Sid Meiers Pirates a long time ago and my son brought the newer version (XP) for me, its still bloody addictive even now, graphics are really good too.

That one looks interesting.

Akella is also coming out with a batch of new games similar to sea dogs. Age of Pirates carribean tales and AoP Captain Blood. Also Swashbucklers Blue vs Grey is another one from them but set in the civil war. www.akella.com

Disney is also coming out with another Pirates of the carribean, but this one is more of a land based action rpg game..

I have to say though im a little warry of Akella games mainly because of their somewhat poor track record with fixing bugs, and especialy over them turning sea dogs 2 into Pirates of the carribean

What i would love to see is a game that takes the best elements from sea dogs/PotC, and Pirates! and put them into one game. Basicly a free form pirate game and sailing sim combined.
