They don't give a source for that quote. Navweaps says nothing about it, and they quote several sources. On the other hand, they do say that the fast setting was troublesome early in the war as it caused the torpedo engine to overheat.

Ok...attempt 4

Is there any chance of having a Detchland class as a commerce raider ship....so we can really lay the pain on some ships.

i think this would be fair, we could make it almost impossible to NOT see on the surface and you must come up on a convoy to attack it and dare it's defenses!! Just think, meeting a task force and slugging it out with the big guns!

yeah hes right, we should get a nice comerce raider, or some kind of cruiser, its one thing to be the bismark, and rule the sea, but being your average cruiser? thatd be challenging aswell

I think the S boot is a good choice
The trouble with a heavy cruiser upwards is there is no challange unless you meet a battlegroup with a heavy or 2

i would still love a Detchland class, would be fun...heck if we make it almost impossible to miss on the surface, 3 DD's would still be somthing you would not want on you. or Maybe just that "Commerce Raider" ship you see in game....
