WAC 5.0 Question.

Hello.

Very simple question here.

How many of you can play WAC with these campaign file without CTD end loading ?

Me Fanuboat cant, Silent Hunter III channel got CTD too, wolfpack345 got ctd. Some friend from usa get also CTD.....

Stop with thing like you may did something wrong or else thing, we did download the mod from here and installed the mod how it should be installed with 4 giga patch and stuff, i will really think that some people will have luck and no CTD with this campaign file, and for other people no luck at all.

What year did you tried? And with SH3 commander or not?
Personnaly I was getting ctd's with sh3 commander but without it it seems to be okay.
Have you tried compatibility mode? Windows Xp (Service pack2) and running with admin rights?
What OS are you using whats your computer specs?

For example my specs.
Intel i3 2120 3.30 Ghz
8gb ram
MSI GTX 750 2gb OC
Windows 7 bit 6

Have you tried compatibility mode? Windows Xp (Service pack2) and running with admin rights?

I know that....

Computer have way enough to run this mod, its not the computer or whatever, this problem is from this campaign file.
Some people have it and other dont.

I was having ctds with lsh3 until geek squad recommended turning off the anti-virus software during play. That solved my problem.

This is definitely no problem of the campaign file.
Why should it work on some systems and on some not.... that makes no sense.

Even if it was installed several times there can be different problems on every pc system.
For example the virus scanner, the installed directx version, the compability modes, the start with or without commander, the 4GB patch...

or... even the SH3 version, as the steam version makes some very difficult problems!

And why sh III commander should be the problem also ?

This have nothing to do with this bug.

Anyway.

the problem is also not about resolution. -_-

way enough to run a mod. its not the pc again.
Some people have this bug some not. There is a bug to fix here.

SH III channel is going to try without SH III commander and i am going to try too without sh 3 commander too.

There is definitively something wrong with this campaign file so.

For some people starting the game without SH III commander = no crash, then so the SH III commander file from WAC is useless ?? ..

I'm using SH3 Commander v.3.2, but I keep all its default settings, only changing the date if I want to spawn at a specific date in the SH3 world. Sometimes I also change the patrol area. I make no other changes.
I had no crashes that I could specifically point to the SH3 Commander (and how could you do that?).
To say the truth: I can only remember about 1 crash with WAC5.01 in the last 15-20 game starts, and I was likely the culprit because I used to ALT-TAB out of the game to read stuff, SH3 and WAC may not like it.

My virus scanner goes in 'Gaming Mode' when I launch a game, I had never problems because of that.

I'm playing in Win7 Pro x64, i7, GTX 960, 16GB RAM. I own the PC-DVD of SH3.

Because some people said try without SH III commander, but well its still the same here with or without commander = crash when campaign file is enabled in JSGME.

The thing to keep in mind when using Commander with WAC 5.0 is that there is a specific "Commander lite" mod (https://www.mediafire.com/file/kjq8m...ander_light.7z) that needs to be enabled. However, that is not installed in the usual MODS folder like all the other mods. You need to install a second jsgme program, this one in your SH3Commander, run it to set up a MODS folder, then paste WAC5.0+Commander_light in the new MODS folder, then finally enable that with the jsgme in the SH3Commander's folder.

As to how you could point to Commander causing CTDs, well, if you have an option enabled in Commander, and you keep getting CTDs, and you finally disable that option and the CTDs go away, that's pretty good empirical evidence!

For some reason, I was getting CTDs when using WAC5.0 Full_Interior and/or Complete Sound for WAC5. And no matter what I have enabled, once I sink a ship I cannot save and then reload a game.
