Trevally, what's the difference between mod and doing it manually in the SH5 folder?

atleast it keeps morale up, and we play it widely before we attack warships so they go scratch their heads and wonder what the heck are we hearing, and later BOOOOM!.

tbh i am a bit of an workaholic sub cap'n
same with the crew.

now i go and bid you good luck on your hunts gentlemen, hope you sink some serious tonnage and make the tommies tear their hair in frustration due to your efforts.

Hi Fifi,

Like most mods there is not difference from applying a mod to changing the file manually.
This mod however is different however as it does not change any file.
It gives you the very same stock file as you have already

It is just an easy way to show how it works and to allow users to remove the change in an easy way

I remember in Sh III that i changed the days in port to 1 and the time for change a emblem to 15. this made possible an intensive use of the submarine and stay in port 15-30-45 days or more . or resupply in vigo and other places.

But i didn´t played sh V yet , only free sailing in the first mission of the campaign.

I´m cooking a mod soup

This mod should work ok as long as you follow the installation instructions correctly.
Will only work in the bunker before the mission is selected.
Your previous end of patrol date and your new starting date showing on your nav map when the game loads to the bridge should be the number of days you chose to adjust to.

KSDCommander with the TWoS mega mod has the same function and also keeps records of your patrol history and medals awarded.

Hey Mike! For the KSDCommander thing, (if you do use it), there are times where changing the days in bunker doesnt work! If this is not working for you, just do the following.

1. Go to your Silent Hunter 5 Folder

2. Find the file "KSDCommander.xml"

3. Right click and press open with

4. When you press open with, press notepad

5. Find the Days in Base

6. Edit the days in base to the length of time that you would like.

7. Save

8. Happy Hunting!
