game won't start

DELL INSPIRON I5 7000 gaming. Windows 10 home 64bit. Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 Ti. current display 1920 X 1080 32 bit 60 Hz. SH III Ubisoft Disk. No code to enter. I've reset the display for performance. I insert the disk and press the SH III icon, the disk spins up, the opening movie of the game plays, then black screen with music background of the game playing. no control after that?

You need to install the game on your hard drive.

You first need to run Windows 10 in compatibility mode for Windows 7.
Post #3 Installing Or Re-Installing SH3 Correctly + OS Compatibility Modes.

Run all your applications as administrators.
Post #6 Running Applications As An Administrator.

Make sure your GPU is setup correctly.
Post #7 Changing Nvidia And AMD Radeon GPU Settings

You also might need to take a look at this SH5 fix is also relevant for SH3.
Post #412 Override High DPI Scaling Behavior > Pictorial

If the problem continues check what your driver version is.
If quite likely Microsoft has updated your system it may have installed a driver that is not compatible with the game.
If so you will need to roll back your driver to the previous one.

seems like complete helpful info. all of my "games" are WW II sims. Battlefront IL-2 ect. ect. I hope this will fix my problems with them as well. will let you know of my results either way
