INTRODUCTION: Capt. Cannon
Hello Everyone,
Brief intro. My Handle, of course, Capt. Cannon About my interest in Sub Sims and games. I worked for over 12 years in the game industry, worked on projects such as CounterStrike, Emporer, Rise of the Middle Kingdom, and many more titles. I am a History Buff, military platform study, studying conflicts such as Vietnam, WWII, cold ware era potential conflicts and esp. Modern Naval warfare aficionado. Never in the service due to limitations that prevented such honors. Grew up loving Movies and books such as Hunt for Red October, and played countless hours on Harpoon... yes the original game computer version of harpoon. (Well really, Midway on a TRS-80) then later on Harpoon when they actually had graphics.) I finally spent for Cold Waters and love it to death and came to this forum after finding it is the place to be for further files and community on the game. Best game moment... soft grounding in the middle of a fight, sinking remaining enemies while grounded using the upper tubes out of the mud and being amazed they did work. Then Blowing ballast and surfacing victorious. Unheard of in other games where... finding the bottom meant game over. (Oh and second place, finding and sinking the Kirov and Kiev respectively) My respect to the members that are former Sub Service, and those members that honor their service here. Capt. Cannon Out. |
