Default The "Vital Spark" on Youtube (Think Fawlty Towers at sea)

Just noticed one of my favourite TV shows from my youth has appeared on YouTube a fantastic BBC Scotland comedy series from the 1970's about a Clyde puffer (small Scottish cargo boat) and her crew. Check it out it's still very funny I particularly recommend the "The Quarrel" & "The Wedding" episodes

Funny stuff! I love seeing the boat, because in all the convoy research I've done I've found that there were many little cargo boats in cross-Channel convoys that looked just like that one; some as small as 300 tons.

Great stuff!

Glad you liked it. Hopefully it will also bring back memories for some of the guys here who served in US Subs at the Holy Loch Base as many of the outdoor scenes were filmed around that area. And the Royal navy guys will probably recognise the Isle of Arran very well in the "Wedding" episode, that's where the RN conducted their infamous "Perisher " sub command training course.
