Default Time compression crash bug

Ok so whenever i use time compression above 256 it randomly crashes, weird thing is that the first time I played it was fine. I also had the same mods installed at the time so it's not mods causing the problem. Help??

Hi Mc
TC in general should not be a problem if used sensibly.
If you are out in open sea with nothing around you and then ctd at TC256 then it is going to be something to do with your game and may be a mods issue.
Your sytem specification can also be the cause if it low specification.
Start your game and then press CTRL+F8 and check what frame rates you are getting as you increase TC.
With a 2gb gpu you should be getting 60 fps.
With a 1gb gpu playing a mega mod like TWOS your frame rates will be low and you may also get some stuttering unless you turn down the spceifications on the in game Graphic Settings.
If you are seeing a low frame rate then try using the Antilag applcation you can find it in my Tutorial Downloads section

I concur with THEBERBSTER. If you get a good frame rate and can't find anything else wrong, and you've got a 64-bit OS with over 4 gig of RAM, the Large Address Aware applet might be of some benefit. Consult CapnScurvy's Windows10; Large Address Aware; SH4 Install thread for details. It speaks to SH4 and Windows 10, but applies to Windows from Vista 64 on, and SH3, 4 & 5. Change the names to protect the guilty...

Hi pb
LAA does not seem to work with SH5.
IMO there must be some sort of limiter in action because you cannot excede 60fps and I have a 4gb gpu.
With SH3 with the 4gb patch and SH4 with LAA I can easily get 400 to 600fps in the game.

Is it already programmed to access more RAM, if available?
