Default Hunter-Killer reviews

Ready....Fight!
https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/hun...contentReviews

I really hope these reviews are by people that aren't into "naval movies". Tired of Hollywood ruining a good story(?)/ a good naval flick. I wish I had the money to do a movie production company. There are so many good, real life stories, that would make a great movie.

I was excited about it, what do you guys think?

Heard there was a new submarine movie, got excited.

Saw the poster, excitement gone.

At least we have Das Boot to look forward to.

Half of me wants to see it, the other half doesn't want to violate my NDA. Anyone else see it looks like he's wearing silver dolphins?

Well, yeah. The brass ones would clash with his dark blue dress shirt.

I use to like western movies and in fact I still do, but the new ones don't match the old ones for excitement and reality.

I liked the Fast and Furious movie with a Russian submarine in it, but it wasn't enough. So I think I will like watching this one and over looking the flaws at the same time. They story sounds up to date, uh? A rouge general

Went and saw Hunter Killer this evening.

Action: 8 out of 10
Realism: 3 out of 10
Acting ...it's and action movie
Overall I give it a 7 out of 10 for be'n entertaining and myself 10 out of 10 for being able to suspend belief for 2 hours.

My main hang ups with the movie are:
Submarines that perform like race cars
Near misses were almost comical
All torpedoes ran about 100+ knots even though they weren't rocket propelled
Nuke boats don't like to be sat down in mud. Something about sucking it in the cooling vents
Apparently Gerard Butlers character can see underwater, through the subs hull...
I've seen 13 year old airsofters that were more stealthy than the "SEALs" portrayed in the movie
Every decoy and mine had a blinking red light
The USS Arkansas apparently had a gravel filled cement mixer in the pump jet

So conclusion... Go see it as a Hollywood produced action movie and not as a documentary.

That part is true. Main Seawater and Aux Seawater pumps don't like debris, and the nucs hate it even more.

Also, if a 3,695 lb torpedo falls on a torpedoman, he will not get back up and just be a little dizzy.

But, like I said before, suspend reality and it's a purty good action flick.
