Non of the links on that page lead me to believe it is even beyond the drawing board.

Most are a profile of the guy, Joe. The AVSim link was a no-go.

Try the avsim links again now. They have hickups since weeks, I sometimes cannot reach them, too, but right this moment I can - I just checked.

strange, for me it works.

P.S. We talked different links. The one you refer to, lmost liekly, is the avsim link at the very bottom, which for me does not work, too. I meant the earlier avsim links to Orbx and PMDG slammling the door in Microsoft's face.
