Default Heavy damage and underwater; can you assist?

Hi,
so the baddest scenario has occured to me, I was too careless and got hit by destroyer shells. I had to crash dive, at some point the flooding was under control but I am stucked at 100 feet with a lot of systems damaged and destroyed.

Is there something you can do to assist repairs in SH5? Of course I understand that if most of your systems are at 0%, especially the pumps or E-machines, then you can just watch and die, but is there something you should or can assist, maybe something to order , e.g. re-direct the crew to prioritize on specific repairs or else?
When going in the subsystems, I notice that if I click on a square then a moving repair tool will appear. Does this mean the repairs will concentrate on that? Weird thing is: if I change the view and come in again then the repair tool has changed place, so my order was futile...

I'm playing stock SH5 1.2 + TWoS, but I think my questions also apply for the stock game only.

Thanks,

Hi XS
Go to the Chief Engineer Josef Erdmann and you can issue the appropriate order/s for the situation.
Your morale will drop depending which orders are given.
Some components can be repaired depending on the level of damage.
Hull damage can only be repaired back in the bunker.

No, you are not playing the stock game.
The stock or vanilla game as it has become known is a game without mods.
You are using the TWOS mega mod a very good decision.

Thanks, THEBREBSTER,
I will remember this for next time. It seems that SH5 compared to SH3 is much more unforgiving when it comes to sub damages. 1 enemy shell hit and you can have most systems on your sub destroyed, quite realistic, but the game ends in a flash

The Crew Management in SH3 is much better, but that's almost the only thing that beats SH5 TWoS in my opinion.

Does it change something if I put the crew on battle stations (F7) and 'Battle Stations level 2' via the Watch Officer icon?

Hi XS
Always use the watch officer for battle stations when using the deck gun.
This will ensure when you have finished using it and you click on his icon the deck gun will always re-position correctly to the forward position and the crew will leave the gun.
I have a couple of tutorials explaining all this.
F7 is fine for everything else.
