Default Max depth adjustment?

Hi,

Been enjoying OH11 and a multitude of other mods of course for some time now..

I now have an issue though...i am in my V11B boat and for the first time (1940) i find myself in a sticky situation....i decide to dive deeper than i've been before to a depth of 180m.

Then my sub starts taking hull damage (from the depth) and before long im done for!!!!
Seriously, the Max book depth for this boat is 220m! and 200m should be no probs.
So my question is....where is the file to change the max depth of the u-boat. I found in the 'Data/submarines/V11B file the max depth: 200m but this clearly had no effect?

I would like my trusty partner to enter a depth within 2 given values so as not to give away its absolute max depth to me, but 180m and crush is silly!!

Thanks

for me the maximum depth is set to 333.2 mt in NSS_Uboat7b.zon, and to 500 mt in NSS_Uboat7b.cfg

Was the initial hull integrity 100% when it happened?

in my experience the VIIB (with 100% hull integrity) dives at 180-190 m without any problems

Hi thanks..yes she was 100% hull!!

She held without issue at 176m for sometime, and when i went deeper she started taking damage at 180m (no hits from depth charges).

What does the unit 'Mt' mean in previous posters reference?

As you say she should be good for 200m and after that its down to how well she's built, every boat being slightly different (this i will add with my other half's input!)

either way, is the depth (max) adjustable, and am i looking at the right files for the job?

thanks again

My bad, actually it is a common yet wrong abbreviation we use in Italy for distinguishing meters from minutes

In the Das Boot book by Lothar Gunther Buchheim, type VII U Boats were built to be able to dive at 90 meters safely...but none really knew what was the max depth before the sub implode.
Furthermore, it could be different from a sub to an other!
Haha...90 m !
