Is there a Guide to modding?

I was wondering if there's a guide to modding SH4. Something to help in finding what files to modify things like guns, torps and so on.

after reading through this stuff just ask whatever questions you have, here in the forums, but please read through the stuff first so you don't have to ask the simple questions that are already answered and explained there
