Default WW1 flight sims? & joystick suggestion?

I was looking to see if there were any ww1 flight sims out that weren't....old. I happened to find this http://www.d-strict.com/ . Anybody heard of it? Doesn't seem to be available yet. At first I thought it was some sort of mod but it sounds like its own game. I couldn't really find anything so does anybody know if there are any good recent ww1 flight sims around? I just love those old planes.

On the subject of flight sims, what are some good joysticks? Right now I have a 'Logitech extreme 3d pro' or something like that. To be honest I hate it. My hand becomes uncomfortable rather quickly and the stupid thing doesn't center well. I let go and the plane does a barrel roll. I want a solid joystick that will center in one place without jiggling at the slightest touch or vibration. Best I can do is adjust sensitivity settings of course but it's still annoying that I have to try so hard to hold it still. Just can't let go without it going off somewhere. Hard time aiming in IL2 if you can imagine.

Hope somebody has a good suggestion. Preferably one that isn't over 100 USD. edit. the saitek x52 looks nice and it's $100 at newegg. Anybody know if this joystick is good? I heard some people say that after some time it loses its precision or something like that. I hope that's not true because it sounds and looks like a comfortable joystick.

Hi if you have CFS3 ( combat flight sim 3 ) i would really suggest an OUTSTANDING WWI mod called Over Flanders Fields
http://off.oldbrowndog.net/index.htm
Regarding JoySticks i'm happy with my old Saitek Cyborg 3D.
Hope that helps a little

Whoa that mod looks good. I will be sure to check it out. Just gotta find CFS3, I know I have it somewhere. About that joystick, I don't see it on the saitek site. I am guessing they don't make that one anymore(?). Any idea if the other cyborg models are good? I am afraid if I get another cheap joystick I am doomed to have it's precision wear out in just months as did my logitech.

As for joysticks, i would avoid anything from logitech, or just about anything else from them other then maybe webcams. Ive had nothing but trouble with my Wingman Extreme, mouse, and keyboard. Ended up replacing the keyboard and mouse with stuff from MS

Yeah I learned my lesson lol, no logitech. From what I understand all logitech joysticks are equally unreliable. I guess they don't make any high end ones? Apart from the $100 x52 from saitek I am not sure what I like. Main points for me is smooth and precise operation, a nice dead center, and of course durability. I don't want my joystick to off center and crap calibrate in mere months like this logitech one.

I was looking for something a bit cheaper than the x52, but I don't see anything I really like in terms of features and more importantly durability. The x45 seems to be like the x52 only without rudder twist. I kind of like rudder twist, but for up to $30 cheaper maybe I should go with the x45 instead? I am seriously considering an x52 right now.

Would be nice to hear some more cheaper suggestions pertaining to my needs above.
