Thank you for your help. I have tried, twice now to PM you in reply and also to Onkel Neal to request he investigate recovering my old I.D. but when I investigate my own P.M. "Sent" file I see no PM's sent.

Could be I have my own internet I.D. tightened down too tight, such that even PM's dont go through (which would explain a lot).

As it happens I recently did tie my ID down more tightly to avoid the intrusion of Ads, with the help of one of my fellow sim-racers who happens to be an IT expert...and I suspect this is not only the cure (for the Ads) but perhaps also the source of the PM problem.

I will try to sort it out, although I won't be able to consult with him until later this week (four or five days) at the earliest. So, while I truly do appreciate your help, I probably can't do anything to further Neal "re-finding me" for several days at best.

Don't lose sleep over it. And thanks again!

Cool!

I had some hundred and more posts back in those days, and I suspect some of them were controversial...probably political. But, as I've already said: "These are my pants, so I must be me."

Hope I didn't make too many enemies then. And I'm willing to listen to just about anyone, even if my eyes glaze over shortly into the discussion.

It takes all kinds to make the world!

Default Yeah, I just compased...

...a message to Onkel Neal and sent it, but my PM outbox shows nothing sent.

There's my problem.

This was the message:
My old username was: Christopher Snow.

It's my real name (although not all of it).

I'm the same guy, and if you have the ability to search down the the password level, you'll also find I'm using the same password.

If further verification is needed, please contact me at the current email address listed above.

Sorry to bother you with this, and I thank you for your time.

Hi, Christopher

Well we know now that we successfully PM... are your messages to me not being recorded as 'sent'?
I've PM'd Onkel Neal with a link to all this so you should hear something before long

E

PS: ignore Bleiente... he's not been taking his medication

Default I got this PM, and tried to reply directly, but still have an empty "sent" box

...after hitting the submit button. Gotta be some clamped down filter or port at my end, as this is clearly an unusual situation. I have that query into the fellow who set me up with the adblocker, but still no answer (maybe in the next few days he'll come back with something as we race early in the week and talk on TeamSpeak).

Thanks for the continued help, in any case.

Default To reply more clearly to my own post:

Thanks, E. I'm GETTING PM's, but just can't reply to them, no. Nothing in my "sent" box at all, though I'm trying.

Still no reply from the fellow who set me up with the ad-blocker (I strongly suspect that's my problem). It's uBlock Origin 1.17, and I suspect I just have it clamped down too tight...or that Neal's site demands I open up for Google or Facebook or somesuch. In which case...nah. I can just stick with the current username, forego PM's and...

...just...Sub...Sim.
The whole point is just to go into battle anway, and I'm not lookin' to be famous. Might even be better to be quietly feared. |:

I'll be "The man who can't be PM'ed," as it were.

[Well actually he CAN BE PM'ed, but he just can't reply!]

So if he seems aloof...

...it's probably because he long ago gave up trying to respond].

I'm the man...in the Iron Mask, it seems. LOL!

Hi Snow, thanks for hanging in there, Eich came by and kicked me out of my bunk, so I am now on the case. I will send you an email to your current address, when you reply, I will merge your accounts and send you the log in details.

cheers
Neal

Thank you Neal, and I got the login/merge details. Just heard back from the guy who set me up with the uBlocker and he says it shouldn't affect any rights or close ports, but only affects scripts and calls to other URL's so this should work. I will want to be wide awake and have pen and pad nearby when I login (with your details), and that's unlikely to happen until Wed, but then...it should work! Thanks to you and E, and the rest.

I will probably try this Wed (I have to focus first on a race Tuesday night) and do some cockpit alterations involving power tools.

Default This might have worked!

I was confused at first at the length of the PW Neal sent me, because I reached the end of the PW character box...then realized I should just plow ahead at flank speed...and I'm back! I think....

Yes, I'm logged in, thanks Neal and E both especially for your help. :
So let me buy you both a beer:

Good to be back...in my OLD pants!

(I'm gonna have to stitch up these moth holes though....)
