removed all saves, left game intact and Mods, then started a new. Got myself into a few situations where I was taking on solitary or pairs of freighters, nothing - they did not flinch until I hit them. So far so good. I was off the east coast of phillipines, encountered an invasion convoy heading south, took out 9 vessels including two Magamo cruisers. They never knew what hit 'em!!
