Default Damage Control - LeoVampire Edition (172.3 KB)

hello,

i stumbled onto this mod while looking for something else. does it work stand-alone on a save file? do i run it prior to running SH4?

i've read the available documentation and there is no direction. excellent change log but no direction on how-to-use.
when it runs, it only looks at the default installation so if you are using MultiSH4 and playing one of your alternate installs then it's no-go.

when it runs vs a default installation it errors out on Flotilla's file with an unhandled exception. if you continue, you get the same screen you began with. change log states that this was fixed in ver 1.06.0.1

working with the Ver. 1.1 which seems to be the latest version.
Publisher Billko has been offiline for 18 months from Subsim and i am hesitant to send him an email for a number of reasons.
has anyone used this mod? recently?

I think that was for v1.3, and from what I read in the thread, the original author hadn't updated h8is game to v1.4. I don't see anything about what leovampire did as an update to it, whether for v1.4 or v1.5. It does show as being uploaded in June of 2009, which would be over a year after v1.5 came out tho. I do not recall off the top of my head what the damage control was like in v1.3. I do have it on the XP machine over in the corner, and if I get a chance later this evening, and ~if~ I don't forget to, I'll fire the old beast up and see what v1.3 had... As a little side note, depending upon how the executable file is built, you can sometimes use 7zip to look inside and see the files. Either that or use the 010 Editor and look at it in hex.
