Default i'm wondering about weapons accuracy

in that, as far as i know, the 88 had a rather flat trajectory. also noticed it takes several hits to disable, let alone outright destroy, a t34 at less than 1km. this doesn't seem quite right

I think the Russian creators of the game let their pride make the T34s a lot more robust than they actually were, that's understandable I guess.

I'm guessing you haven't tried out zeewolf's updates/fixes and new stuff? That's one of the things he fixed, maybe give it a go -

In my opinion it makes the game so much better, and the fixes are game-wide, not just limited to the extra mission.

No idea, I used the other installer, and it overwrites stuff in the main folder I think.

You'll know it's working because the Tiger idle sound is really good, and the thing roars along at over 54kmh .

Actually it goes into the C:\Program Files\LighthouseInteractive\T34vsTiger folder, at least on XP. The .exe I got tries to put it into C:\Lighthouse\T34vsTiger and asks if you want to make that folder. I have the US version so yours may be different.
As far as 1 shot on a T34, it all depends on where you hit it. ZeeWolf's mod makes it different from the base install. With his Mod, they can keep fighting if you just hit the engine, or if you just disable the turret, they still drive around until you take it out alltogether.

I'm also using XP sp2
