Default Uhhh what?

So I started a new IXB carear in Oct 39 and I get a DF report of a merchant. I go and intercept and increase TC. All of a sudden I start taking damage! The ship I was intercepting rammed me without even seeing me! I sink it with my 105mm but theres no sunk plot on my map. What the foxtrot?

You might have set TC too high and your watch crew didn't simply have time to report the visual contact, particularly in poor visibility. Gently does it with the TC, never go above 256x when intercepting. About the sunken ship mark, occasionally it doesn't appear on the map but you should find the sinking in the captain's log. Whatever you've destroyed, you can find there irrespectively of sunk plots on the map.

This is starting to become a trend. Even at lower TC my watch crew is all but blind. They spoted a merchant that almost rammed me(netural thank god) only AFTER it passed me!
