Die Rückkehr der Lolwaffles.

If you just want to say "the Lolwaffles" then "Die Lolwaffles" is correct ("die" is pronounced dee for all those who care which will be none but still) but in that grammar constellation it has to be as written above.

Oh...and Klugscheißer is spelled with a capital first letter as it is a noun.

Which 109 is that?

Goddamn it, that was the first option I went for, but I figured that since Luftwaffe is generally used as Die Luftwaffe, with Der being used as a prefix when addressed as a title, such as Oberkommando der Luftwaffe, I figured that Die would be the correct option.

Klugscheisser....

Oh, and it's the G6...beware...

I know it's a G6 (we've been there and done that, remember?) I was wondering which surviving aircraft that is.

It's HA-1112-M1L c/n 156 C.4K-87 (D-FMBB), FM+BB , EADS / Messerschmitt Foundation, rebuilt with a DB605 engine.

Murmansk 1942

Mission 1:
Escort Fw-190s on a bombing mission against enemy shipping.

Outcome:
Raptor aborted after take-off due to gear/computer failure.
I struggled to keep up with Task Force and HunterICX until I made the discovery my flaps were still on 'combat' setting...
Fw-190s missed every single ship, no enemy contacts sighted by us but frantic calls in German and Perkele over the radio indicates the Soviets were about.
Returned to base to find the usual shambles, HunterICX barely missed a friendly aircraft on landing, so Task Force and I took the taxi-way resulting in nose-overs for us both.

Flying into the sun whilst RTBing, PTSD flashbacks occurred.

Our, somewhat loose, Kette

HunterICX comes in to land, unaware an AI is on approach coming the other way...

The inevitable occurs...

The Lolwaffles are back!

No, we're 'flying', which is our normal variant on flying...

This is flying:

This is 'flying':

Mission 2:
Fly sweep over Murmansk factory

Outcome:
After a restart caused by Oberon pancaking on take-off, the group took off and began climbing to altitude when contacts were spotted to our two o clock. They turned out to be IL-2s, Hunter rammed the lead enemy aircraft while the rest of us and the AI shot the others down.
We then returned on course, then ran into some Peshkas and Yaks, Oberon was shot down and Raptor only just made it back to the airfield intact. Task Force returned safely after his machine guns were broken by a Peshkas rear gunner.

My first kill, an IL-2, both crew bailed safely.

My emergency landing and dramatic sliding dive out of the cockpit, just in time to avoid the explosion. ( I love how my legs appear to be coming out of the ground in this shot)

A Hurricane explodes in Raptors face, surprisingly causing no damage

Task Force meanwhile takes on a Peshka, who manages to surgically remove the 109s MGs

Raptor encounters some unhappy Russians

But he manages to land...in a manner of speaking.

Mission 3
Intercept I-16s in the Murmansk area

Outcome

Less eventful take-off, contacts were spotted but left to the local Finnish airforce contingent to deal with. The flight broke up after encountering cloud, Oberon ran into a flight of three I-16s while the rest of the group encountered (and were mauled by) Peshkas from hell. Oberon killed one I-16 and was attacking the other two who were dormant when they suddenly sprung into life and turned the tables on him. In a tail-less spin, Oberon bailed out just before the aircraft exploded...unfortunately it exploded right above him, killing him instantly.

The I-16s wake up

I'm not going to recover from this, am I?

...verdammt

Mission 4
Fly a sweep ahead of a FW-190 Jabo attack in the Murmansk area

Outcome
The group lost contact with the Flight leader (Hunter) shortly after take-off during the climb to patrol altitude, he landed up ahead of us by some margin, encountered Peshkas and then was shot down. The rest of us encountered P-40s and then I-16s, Raptor was also shot down, but Task Force managed to shoot down several, while Oberon chased a P-40 half-way across Russia before finally running out of ammunition since Oberon is a terrible shot and P-40s are made out of reinforced titanium. Fortunately Oberon had chipped enough off the P-40 that he was awarded a kill as he came in to make a surprisingly good landing. Task Force landed shortly after, despite bringing a gaggle of I-16s back with him (they cleared off when the flak started shooting).

My Russian comrade...

A slippery customer, I hope the pilot got out, he deserved to after evading me for so long.

Back at base.

Task Force comes in to land with a leak that only I can see...

Mission 5
Clear the way for Fw-190s attacking enemy shipping entering Murmansk

Outcome
No enemy contacts sighted, although the Finns and Germans were heavily engaged. Waited over the enemy convoy for the slowest Fw-190s in the Luftwaffe to show up, then diverted to Murmansk then RTB.

Raptors totally historical skin...

Slowest Fw-190s ever...

Hunter's 109

Mission 6
Fw-190A4s attack shipping leaving Murmansk harbour

Outcome
Took off in eco-Fw-190A4s which have throttles that don't go above 88%. Attacked the shipping, Oberon crashed whilst taking a screenshot of Hunters successful bomb drop, Arclight was shot down by the ship AAA, then Raptor and Hunter were bounced by Soviet Hurricanes. Hunter stalled and then entered a spin into the sea, while Raptor was set on fire and crashed.

Raptor and his 'Marie' bomb

Hunters bomb hits its mark...and then I hit mine...

Hunter flies over the damaged ship

The Hurricanes bounce Hunter

The merge

The stall

The fire

The end

Mission 7
Clear the way for Fw-190s attacking Murmashi airfield

Outcome
Took off and headed for Murmashi, patrolled around Murmashi airfield and then spotted a group of enemy contacts heading for our lines. Turned and engaged, Hunter and Oberon took engine damage and RTB'd, Arclight and Raptor engaged and shot down several Peshkas. Oberon pancaked next to the airfield, Raptor nosed over whilst trying to clear the runway rapidly for Oberon, and then crashed his IL2, Arclight and Hunter landed ok.

Raptors completely historical skin suffers a breakdown

If the formation was any looser it would be in different countries...

Hello Peshkas from hell...

I made his engine smoke...

...and he returned the favour...

Raptor makes short work of the remaining Peshkas

While I make my traditional sliding exit from the cockpit...

And Raptor heads for space, via the Earths core...
