I did have one, which should've been less brutally murderous than the last one.

I direct you to the statement of the Honourable Sir Schroeder:

So: Nope, no P.11s.

Aaah, so do I bring out the Baka-Onigiri skin again, or are we shooting at the Zippos?

Well, the mission is from the Soviet side (Because I figured it'd be better to have a new set of targets), but I left it open for us to defect to the other side after it if you want.

eeeeh...I don't know if I'll be on tonight, kinda getting frustrated with my inability to fly or shoot anything. Just spent nearly half an hour duelling with a A5M6 thing with a I-153P, I didn't stall and crash, this is true, but I couldn't hit the guy at all, eventually I got fed up (because if this was the server, Task Force would have zipped in and shot him down long ago) and rammed myself into a mountain.
It's either I can't turn without stalling, can't aim properly and when I'm not doing either of those the enemy decides to go between the ground and me and then I can't see him!

It's just not that much fun...

Deflective shooting is a bit tricky in the 153 because of the iron gun sight in front of the reflector sight. You just can't see your own tracers.
I usually aim far too much in front of the enemy plane, but the grenades are flying faster than one would expect.

Aye, the I-153's gunsights are quite awful compared to most planes. You can hit pretty easily at point-blank range, but that's hard to get to without an energy advantage since it's so damned slow.

Since these are flying torch Japanese planes, perhaps you should try something with machine guns that's easier to hit with?

Any thoughts? I'd use the installable MS-410 but inexplicably I've now began stalling the damn thing.

Worth a bash I guess, although I suspect that stalling may become a problem. But what the heck, if I die I can alt tab out and play Minecraft.

Sign me up for a Hurri.

You could also go for a 153M with the useless laser canons. They might be effectively enough against the Jap paper planes and you can see the tracers (IIRC).

The laser cannons? I doubt even the most flammable Japanese plane is too vulnerable to those things...

EDIT: Just ran a test against a Ki-27. After about 7 minutes of dogfighting it (Those bastards are hard to catch), managed to get it to catch fire after expending about half of the I-153's ammunition. It could work in theory, but better to get something more reliable.
