Default Rec book too bright

Here’s one for you guys. I have TWOS and the recognition book is really bright against a dark scope. Hard to see. Can the brightness be lowered on the book?

That would only be possible if someone would edit the light map for that entire object.

Hi!!!
I tried to make the recognition book darker and I can make it even darker. I can do a JSGME and TWoS compatible mod if you want it.

Ahh...Torpedo again! Very nice..very nice. Yes, the "stock" TWoS book is too bright at night, much too bright.

Your fix Torpedo.. - you only changed the background i hope. That would be very fine. Please upload a version that we could test this beta.

Iam sure Vecko will add the final selection (mod).

Thanks Torpedo.

That’s perfect! I assume it’s not an easy fix? Something I can’t do right here right now? I’m no modder. but if not I would love this mod! thanks!

Hi all!!!
I used Paint.NET v4.0.21, it's a free program and it's very simple to use especially for the ".dds" format. Now give me time to darken all the flags and the mod will be ready in a few days. I uploaded the file recognitionmanual.dds in Paint.NET so with the rectangular section tool I highlighted the part of the page of the recognition book to be darkened. I used the brightness / contrast tool and I decreased the values to -50 for brightness and -30 for contrast. So I had to darken the three flags, which you see in the image I posted, in the same way, because they are very bright in the original mod and the result seemed good to me.
I'm glad you enjoyed it but I can always change the brightness and contrast values as you prefer.

Default Darker Recognition Manual v1.0 by Torpedo

Hi all!
Here is my version for a darker recognition manual, "Darker Recognition Manual v1.0 by Torpedo".
This mod is compatible with JSGME and TWoS and can be installed at any time because it only contains graphic files. I hope in the future to be able to evenly darken the images of some ships that have a too light background.

Just tested it! good work dude! appreciate it. this is way better. Before I was blinded by the contrast of the dark scope and the bright rec book. This is just what this game needed.

Thank you all for your appreciation. Now I am checking and arranging more than 200 ships for the silhouette with a too light background and for now I have arranged 20 ships, but I hope within a few days to complete the remaining ships. These silhouettes come from different mods with different graphics, I try to standardize the brightness and contrast.
See you soon ... with version 2.0!

Oh if we could get a proper recognition manual as the germans used

Just silhouettes.

Someone already did a lot of work but how to get that in the ship recognition manual....
