A full U Boat Atlantic campaign is the hope in the fruition of time.

... and then the conversion of all WWII subsim customers to SHIV will be complete. Ubi is sneaky and smart.

Default If they do

I hope there will be real missions in the Atlantik. One real shortcoming of SHIII is that you are assigned a sector, not a mission, as Donitz did routinely. This means SHIII doesn't bother to simulate the most important dynamic of the U-Boat war. Oh, yeah...that and the wolfpack. In those two regards, SHIII misses U-Boat simulation by a mile.

It's like simulating an automobile without simulating roads. The auto can be perfect but it doesn't matter because you can't do anything realistic with it.

Im hoping they will put in the mission where U 862 sailed around New Zealand im sure GWX has this not the mission but events that happened along the way:hmm:. Rumors were they stop near one part of Nz and went to a farm and grabbed some milk Yeah right. The book by David Stevens U 862, U Boat far from Home, tells the real story.

Edit: just found this on uboat.net
Quote:
David Stevens' 1997 book on U 862, U Boat far from Home, quotes both Timm and other crew members detailing U 862's foray in Gisborne Harbor and into Napier Harbor. Stevens deals with scepticism regarding Gisborne by concluding that Timm underestimated the depth (or lack thereof) in Gisborne and would not have ventured in had he known how shallow it was. In regard to Napier, the boat entered the working Harbor, than sat about 500 metres off the foreshore for some time to let crewmen who'd spent weeks under water, see a town at peace and listen to the music coming from the town. Timm said they could even smell cooking smells. In a New Zealand 6o Minutes TV program in 1999, two surviving crew members confirmed that 862 had entered both Gisborne and Napier Harbors. According to Stevens, Timm also intended entering Wellington Harbor in search of ships of worthwhile tonnage to justify an attack. He was re-called to Penang shortly after leaving Napier and sank his last ship off the southwest coast of West Australia on the way back. 862 arrived in Penang in time for the German surrender and the boat was taken over by the Japanese Navy. The real enigma about 862 is whether Timm sent a party ashore at Napier "To milk a cow for fresh milk for our coffee" as he claimed to the NZ commander of a NATO Base in Germany where the pair met in the late 50s. This was the first time the boats trip round NZ was officially revealed. The Kiwi always believed Timm was telling the truth, a crewmember interviewed on the 60 Minutes program denies this and Stevens, in his book, also doubts it was true and that Timm was telling a sailor's yarn.
Hope this helps.
