The Vikings beat the Saints 29-24 on a last-second touchdown pass, a 61-yard beauty from Keenum to Stefon Diggs which ruined a brilliant second half by Saints quarterback Drew Brees and his teammates.

I've never seen game like that before ... only 10) seconds left all they had to do is tackle the guy, instead the defender leaps at him to probably knock the ball loose and misses.

Now the Vikings get a chance to be in their own super bowl coming up Feb 4th all they have to do is beat the eagles in Philly next Sunday

.In their own stadium!!..the very definition of MINNESOTA NICE!
http://www.fox9.com/news/305511383-video
in MN's frigid wasteland, 'skol' generally means: "I'll have a Hamm's BBY"

Friends I have additional question about NFL.

Earlier I asked about this Wild Card. Maybe I have missed it, when I read about it in the link August gave me.

1 What decide or what rules do they use to give a team the wild card ? Why I'm asking is I'm sure there is many more NFL team who would be as good as these who got this Wild Card.

Something else

During the lastest transmission from the NFL I have seen a commercial logo for something called Pro Bowl 26/27 January 3 pm

What is that ?
Is there a professional version of NFL ?

Before the play they showed us each player and under these players there was 2 letters like:

SS, RB, CB(not really sure if I have remembered this correctly) and others

I know QB means Quarterback

So my question is what does these two letter means and what is their job/task on the field ?

Actually no there aren't. if two teams vying for wild card status have the same number of wins and losses then they go with the team that beat the other team during the regular season. Same way they determine home field advantage. First the ones with the better record and then the one with the better record against the other candidates.

The ProBowl is a special exhibition called an "All Star Game" that is played by certain regular NFL players from around the league. They are chosen by their fellow players and coaches by lottery.

See this for a more complete description.

SS - Strong Safety
RB - Running Back
CB- Corner Back

Here's a link to all of them:

@ August

Thank you for helping me out

Now that you mentioned it.

When they showed us the players from each team, some of them had this Pro Bowl under their name.

I guess it means that these players are in the Pro bowl.

Yep, one thing though, the ones playing in the Superbowl won't be playing in the Probowl although they may be on the list.

One thing is certain though

I will not be able to be up all night long to see the Super Bowl or the Pro Bowl(if our sport channel is broadcasting this)

The positive thing is-Now I have an USB-drive connected to my smart-tv

I'm going to program my USB to record this Super bowl and then I'm taking Monday noon and afternoon as free day and watch the game

I'll not read any sports news before or while I'm watching the game.

And I went to bed at the start of the 4th quarter.

What a game it was.

Patriot against Jacksonville.

Jax with most of the luck in the first two quarter and Patriot having most of the luck in the last 2 quarter.

Can't see Philadelphia against Minnesota-it's being broadcasted to late.

Well bugger. At least it wasn't the kicker blowing the game this time.

as you all know something big is happening in Minnesota this Sunday ... the New England Patriots face off against the Philadelphia Eagles for Super Bowl LII (52)

The NFL Players Association negotiates bonuses as part of the league’s collective bargaining agreement—and players on the winning team get almost twice as much.

Per CBS Sports, here’s the breakdown for this year:

Divisional round bonus: $28,000
Conference championship bonus: $51,000
Losing team player bonus: $56,000
Winning team player bonus: $102,000
