Can anyone make a custom Edmund Fitgerald skin?

I was wondering, in the custom ship skins modding department, could anyone make a custom skin of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald, the famous freighter that was lost on Lake Superior on November 10, 1975? I know the ship was built in the late 1950s, so it would be a complete anachronism, but I personally think it would be interesting to do battle with the famous "Big Fitz".

Has anyone modded the Fitzgerald into SH3?

You need the 3D model to do the texture.

It would not be a skin, but a whole new ship model, and no, no one has done it. There is a Great Lakes Freighter mod for SH3, but it is a little 1500-tonner, not the mighty Edumd Fitzgerald.

SH3 also lacks the Great Lakes for some odd reason...

Maybe because you could not take a Sub up there?
So why add it?

Two words: Erie Canal.

Of course I'm not saying the Yanks will like you taking your u-boat up there...

If I only went where they liked me, I'd be stuck in Willy harbor for the whole patrol.

Keep it submerged and on a need to know basis...
