Hunter killer groups begin in late 42 as was the case
Old 4 stacker DDs and a CVE to begin with till the later DE came out which replaced them
You will also see an increase in the number of escorts as war progressed as well as the crew level increasing

Kpt Lehmman and BBW answered the question so I will not repeat what they said.

The good thing with GWX is that there is a gradual change in the DDs capability to kill you. That way you evolve (as a player) with the game

Kap, Woolz, Mel.

Thanks for the reply, great answers. Right then, so it being the beginning of 41 for me, I think its time I got my game on. Deck gun attacks a no no pretty soon I'd wager.

Guys, are contact reports of convoy sightings sometimes wrong?

Not if they are generated on the game map automatically

But you have to remember that convoys have built in course changes
If the convoy shows on the navmap near the end of a course leg then alters course port\starboard after appearing on the map then your guesswork of its intended position may be many Km out

A suggestion:

Hi fellers, I have a suggestion to make for GWX 1.04

Now, it occurs to me, that the hull while submerged makes a heck of a noise, I think its a bit too noisy when you are in the green area of the depth guage, I mean, I was at 20m yesterday and the noise it made, you'd think someone was banging the outside with a hammer! Just the usual noise. it makes when you are shallow, you must knwo the one I mean.

Is there any chance I could be so bold as to ask is there something you could do to make this better? The yellow and red sound effects are fine, I mean you are deep, creaking hull and thuds is expected but, I think the boat is too noisy when in the green.

Just my thoughts, and I've had em a while.
