Nagato and Mutsu were only out in limited circumstances, so as sub targets they should be pretty rare.
Anyone know of any 3d model sites that sell smaller combatants? tater |

Well, perhaps is a dream of mine,a modern Naval Warfare Sim featuring units of all classes with this incredible level of detail, amazing graphics and effects, complex interface.......etc.
Would be nice a H24 online server and a constant what if situations between several countries. |

If you contact the original 3D Artist he MAY give you the model.
I'd explain how many people World wide play this Sim and How much this model is needed. Plus I'd push that fact I'd proclaim his name as often as possible. And he get's free publicity at SubSim.com. Worst that can happen is he say's "Pony up the 33 bucks!" |

How about we offer him SH4 + UBM? I have two unopened discs here...
[edit] Who knows, he may enjoy it, and start creating more units, for free

Nothing like seeing your creation on fire, with planes spilling off the decks
Sorta like me putting a BB model in the local lake, then shooting it with my BB gun back in the day |

Turbosquid even has a very nice Graf Zeppelin Flugzeugtrager, which never got completed during WWII. But wtf!?!?! $200! Would have been a great one for an extension to ivank's TSWSM, with the other Z plan warships.
http://www.turbosquid.com/FullPrevie....cfm/ID/338334 What I would say is the Nagato model is a seemingly fair price by looking at its superior quality. I have brought this topic up before that I would love to see the Nagato and Mutsu come to life in SHIV. Although these two battleships saw minimal duties during WWII, but these two ships were without doubt important to Japan, with its eight powerful 16 in. guns, it was the second most powerful class of battleships in the Imperial Navy, only to the Yamato class. Its origins from the First World war, when Japan was a close ally to the entente powers, where the Japanese navy had adopted many concepts from the British, one example was the Kongo class Battlecruiser/Fast battlship, which employed similarities to the britsh battlecruisers. However in 1920, Japan was building its first igneous super-dreadnought, entirely from Japanese design, the Nagato class, which was matched by the US's West Virginia class battleships and its 8 16 in. guns, as the most powerful battleship in the world. The Nagato became the flagship of the Imperial Navy until the Yamato's commision in 1941. The Mutsu blew up in July of 1943 by a fatal cordite combustion. The Nagato went on to be the only Japanese Battleship to survive the war afloat. Enough of the lecture of history....:p IMHO These two battleships are hard to leave out in th game, they still EXISTED during WWII, it would be cool to have a what if naval battle involving all the Japanese and US Battleships and their escorts ofcourse, which I make in the mission editor. And see who is the last navy standing.:p Or how bout a Mutsu conspiracy theory: Sunk by a US submarine sneak attack, not by a fatal explosion by cordite. Well gentlemen, time to time.Lets TSWSM team do their excellent job and after that, like Ivank told us in a post -there will be Carriers-,we can bring to life a fantastic Carrier Ops supermod implementing all the active units of that age,and also non comissioned ones like the Graff Zeppelin as a kind of what if situation.
At that point, some 3d models can be purchased if needed, count with me guys . Time to time. |

As I am the original author of the Nagato model, I can give it for free if anyone can implement it successfully to the SHIV(Send PM). Atleast price shouldn't be the stopper in this case. I'd love to see all her guns working. Shame that this computer doesn't have enough horses to run the game or I would have implemented it myself. The model took 40 hours to complete and the money wasn't the primus motor in this case.
The model was originally intented for use in VS but I haven't had time to finish her for that platform Last edited by ModelShip; 12-14-08 at 03:44 PM. |

EDIT: I should warn you, that your model will be edited for historical accuracy(AA guns etc...) and new skins will be added.
