Exclamation Does Silent Hunter 4 WoP U Boat missions (on steam) Work on Lan?

Hello there,

Been trying to sort my LAN to play with a friend with the exact same game as me on steam. We tried using Hamachi but every time we tried to create a game it never appeared for either one of us.

My friends game doesn't seem to showing that he owns it on steam, he is re installing it and will take him 3 hours!!! I only told him to install the U-boat missions because thats what I did, it was a fix because we had some hullabaloo where the u-boat missions didn't appear. But we will be both running 1.5 once he is finished.

Meanwhile want to ask if other know if SH4 does work on LAN. I find it suspicious that even though its an old game I really no doubt no one plays it anymore on LAN.

Yes, your Uboat Missions Add-on should work over a LAN or a WAN. The LAN is easiest, if you're both on the same network, since the game has its own network interface. You do both have to have the same ~EXACT~ game. Same mods, too. I haven't been able to get my sons to play lately (they don't like being sunk and get bored to tears while I'm maneuvering into position to take 'em out)... - I'm not sure how you'd set up a Hamachi connection for it, but:

couple of quick hits. I'll let you decide after an internet "Search" if you want to trust some of the other links I found...
