I would NOT recommend the Coroplast sheets for construction. That was a hold over from when the project was much smaller and simpler. Recommend wood construction.

JEEZE!! I will stop playing long enough for food! Must be a common 'arrangement' for many a lonely deprived SWMBO. That's exactly how it is aboard U-666 too. Or "start the BBQ NOW!" At least the Coroplast cabinetry is confined and she can't get in a good swinging bat as per Neal's cartoon! How is the periscope built?

About the periscope.

Have you made it so, when you look into it you see the same as you would when looking at your computer screen, and have you also built some fire botton and when pressed a torpedo or more is fired ?

When you look thru the periscope you see only the "optical" part of the SH4 periscope screen. There is a mask on the front of the periscope cut to match that view. About like this -

To see the other parts of the SH4 periscope screen you have to look around to the left or right of the simulator periscope.

My goal is to "focus" your view and experience to that very limited view of the outside world like on a real sub.

The flight yoke below the periscope is programmed to control the Observation & Attack scope functions. Raise/Lower, Pan/Tilt, and Fire.

I thought the French genius was. This is wrong!

I want the same, or I piss on the floor and roll myself into it.

Default Boys and their toys...

Well done!! BZ.
Two suggestions;
1. One of those spray mist thingamujigs used on hot days for 'topside' to simulate spray.
2. If the depth charge sound/effect can be linked to your joystick's ForceFeedback then "translated" to the walls of your 'sub' it might simulate an attack on your sub if you get my meaning.

All in all pretty damn cool and kudos too to your wife for being a good sport.

Good ideas, thanks! I would love to have a cool "salt air" breeze while up on the bridge. I will add them to the master "List" of ideas and upgrades.
