This is by no means the last version of the mod

I still want to change/improve :

- the periscope view : a view through a WWII french periscope would be tops, one through a later (1950s) would be ok

- I still need to make the turret change texture at the same time (July 1, 1942) as the hull and tower

- I need to change the torpedo picture in the loadout screen : the smaller torp is ok for the v24 but the v26 should be a long thin torpedo

- I need to make a TMO patch for her too

Any and all constructive criticism is welcome, people just venting off are not

this mod would not have been possible without :

the sponsoring of Hautpoul
on the forum mille sabords who payed for the Surcouf 3d model on Turbosquid

the unrelenting help of my dear friend Peabody
, who selflessly made the twin 8 inch gun and helped me tweak the various versions

download Surcouf v 1.6.5 :

@ Keltos : I know you sir are going to do some frigging nice 3D modeling job working on this sub
To tell you the plain truth I'm simply sorry this boat didn't look really beautiful...
IMHO that is.

I wish you good luck though !

Edit

Just for the sake of clarity... What I meant by "I'm simply sorry this boat didn't look really beautiful" is that the REAL sub didn't look pretty (to me).
Your work looks mighty fine though, Mr Keltos.

Well, first of all she was intended as a commerce raider... but as the war started she lacked targets...

Then she was sunk mistakenly by a US aircraft in early 1942, PC attributed to a collision with a freighter...

She's the one sub in the movie "Lorelei - the witch of the Pacific Ocean"

nice 64 dollar model!
it has far too many polys though (even though im sure the loss of the tower and the 6 foot high handrails will prolly loosen that up a little)

As a fan of big guns, she looks like a LOT of fun to sail. Even if she is butt ugly.

Extremely interesting story. Tragic non-the-less.
