Default TMO 2.5 questions

Finally sat down and really started exploring the mod (was hooked on operation monsoon for years now and only ever played TMO 1.7). Its been fun and I have a few questions.

1. Is there a way to turn of event cameras off completely? I want to play on normal setting because i do not want to use manual targeting, but I play with all the other realism up. what file do I need to mess with to get this off when I play normal mode.

2. Is there a way for me to get auto ship identification going again? I am all for the realism but find this one aspect a bit tedious.

When in the Captain's Office before your next patrol, click on the wooden console radio on the left, and edit the game-play settings for the career there. You can turn the Event Camera on and off there, as wel as External view, auto-targeting, etc. It's the same set-up as on the German side, but you use the file cabinet by the door there... I think... ??

Check your "No map contact update" and "Manual targeting" settings. Un-tick them both for the Auto stuff. Also, be sure you are looking at the PK (position Keeper) tab, and not the Torpedo Settings part. That slider in the lower left controls that. Put the scope on the target, and you should see it ID'd.
