Thanks for the links but I'm not sure you understood what i meant. Standard tool helper (as in your 2nd link) has its center on the tip of the line you draw with the ruler when you draw it, which means that you can tell the bearing as you draw that said line. My pic shows how the tool is placed constantly above the line while drawing it so i can't figure out what bearing it has unless i confirm it and move the bearing tool on top of it after that. Not that big of a problem, but i was curious what could have changed the way it normally works.

Edit: Aahh, nevermind. I hadn't noticed that although i installed EquaTool, i had the small standard helper for some reason, which is probably the cause. I pointed the mod enabler to your mep file to load the mods automatically, which leads to the next question. Seeing as something went wrong when installing that particular mod (got no warning of any kind), is it better to auto-load or manually load them one by one?

Auto load the list or not , it doesnt matter . You can use notepad to change the mods on the MEP file if you want to add mods or change or delete some . All the MEP file does is make it easier and less time consuming when loading mod lists .
I am using the protractor from the tools on the left of the HUD .

Yep, i changed it since i wanted the german version of the generic speech fixes mod . Was just wondering if the enabler might occasionally mess something up, seeing as that EquaTool didn't install properly last time. Thanks for your support, skipper!

When you extract the mod there are 4 mods folders there , only enable 1 of them .

Yes, i know. I only had the large style installed. Uninstalled it, then i ran your mep again, the enabler did its job and it worked. No idea why it didn't the first time, as i made no change to the mods folder...

Default TDW SH5Patcher steam...

Hi

So far I have read that steam users are doomed because we can't use the "TDW SH5Patcher".

I have followed the above instructions to the letter and have set up all the mods (except TDW SH5Patcher) using the latest .mep file. All I did was edit out the TDW SH5Patcher.

So after clicking on New Campaign, and then "Skip tutorial", the game starts to load and then crashes to desktop (with no error message) after approximately 2 minutes of loading. Here is my mod list:

Try reinstalling the ubi game launcher and see if the game loads . These problems seemed to start after an update of the ubi game launcher .

Is there some particular mod that decrees the torpedo damage in this mod list? It seems very hard to get a ship to sink using just torpedoes, and finishing them of with deck gun feels.. well unrealistic. I just torpedoed a "SV small modern composite merchant ship" with brt 1850 ton three times, with two of the hits being magnetic one meter under the keel. No way a small ship like that could take even one god magnetic hit, right?

So can I increase the torpedo damage to be more realistic? I'm not asking for a one hit one kill on tankers, but i don't want to use 5 torpedoes on a fishing boat either

I have not managed to fix the problem, but I have found a workaround:

1. Disable all mods
2. Start a new career and skip tutorial
3. Game loads fine and creates the bunker auto-save
4. Exit game.
5. Enable all mods
6. Load bunker auto-save.
7. It works!

Now that I finally got the game working I came across another problem. Whenver I return from missions I often crash when nearing Kiel harbour. Any ideas?

I could be wrong but as much as i can tell , UPlay is screwing with the game/mods/campaign loading so until something changes i wont be having anything to do with SH5 .

Hi everybody! I have a problem with SH5 intallation, I installed it 2 weeks ago with the 1.2 patch and the SOBER mods package. I could play for a week but last Friday, when I wanted to go on playing with my first patroll, the game closed and exited to the desktop. I uninstalled the game, deleted the SH5 folders and the computer’s register and installed the game again with the patch without the mods package; but when I tried to start a fresh career, the game closes and goes to desktop. I istalled it agin without the patch but I still can’t start a new career. Can anybody help me out please?? Thanks in advance

try removing and reinstalling the UBI game launcher. I had similar experiences until I did that.

So I had purchased the steam version for 20$, but I find thepiratebay version works a lot better.... ah the irony...

This wont work because the game creates a big campaign mission file at the start of a new career in the save games . So you would be using the OH2 campaign with the vanilla campaign mission save file . Wont work properly .
