Default [Scenario] The Bear and Rugged Staff

Hi everyone,

I have uploaded a new single mission for Cold Waters 1984 period named The Bear and Rugged Staff to the downloads section. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=5236

It is currently a beta, as this is my first attempt and things look ok from what I have tested. The installation of the scenario is a bit fiddly, so make yourself familiar with the file structure and it is worth having a look at this doc under the Single mission section to understand the files http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=938593459

As this is an initial release, any feedback is welcome, especially about any issues you encounter which appear to be scenario based.

Have fun.

******************TRANSMISSION INTERCEPT**************************
HMS Repulse departing in next few hours from Faslane for Atlantic SSBN stationing.

Unconfirmed reports of goblin activity at the mouth of the Clyde.

Push West and sweep the channel to the North Atlantic for Goblin contacts, prosecute and sink all found. Civilian traffic in the area, weapons TIGHT, Prosecute and ID before attack.

All NATO assets expendable. Repulse must make it to sea.

Primary Objective:
Sink all Soviet submarines at blocking the way to the Northern Atlantic.

Secondary Objective:
Prevent civilian losses.
********************END END END**********************************

DESIGNERS NOTE: Due to limitations of the current version of Cold Waters, civilian shipping is modelled as large merchant vessels and trawlers which are Soviet. While you will not be punished for sinking them, the designer considers this a failure.

The HMS Repulse is assumed to be following a few hours after this scenario, so abstracted for this purpose. If friendly units become available in the future, this scenario will be expanded.

Like the idea, however using HMS Vanguard does not match with the timeline of the mission. Might be better to choose one on the Resolution Class instead (Resolution, Repulse, Revenge or Renown).

I've only just started playing it, so no mission feedback yet.

Probably more of a game bug than mission, but a Victor II and Kilo both below the sea bed and firing torps
Torps explode when they come shallow and go through the sea bed, waiting to see if same happens to subs.
