Default Just got Black Shark

Even though my computer is dinosauric, I can still manage this game on low settings pretty well. Time to sit through hours of training.

It's one of those rare study sim. You need about a week to months to master the sim . There's also the patch. But it will make all the tutorials useless.

Good choice. You will have sweaty palms for some time. Some people seem to master the shark very well.

I can't do that for my life, but I have now managed to fly into a hangar, turn and get back out again in a controlled manner, without catastrophic failure.

cheers porphy

How does the patch make the tutorials useless?

Ah, just like in Flaming Cliffs where some of the tutorials dont function properly after updating. In one tutorial the plane crashes into the ground when its supposed to be shooting down a Russian plane.

I managed my first take off and crash yesterday. I ejected before hand, my pilot never opened his chute, and the helicopter landed in one piece to the side. And then a random building exploded.

!?!?!?

So is it recommended for newbies first to run the tutorials, and then patch the simulation, not patching it before all tutorials have been done? They must be kidding. If the patch breaks the tutorials: that then the tutorials get updated is the minimum thing one could expect, I would say.

Yeah. Its kinda crappy customer service since they haven't updated the tutorials.
I haven't patched Black Shark yet, but I patched Flaming Cliffs the minute I got it.

One of the training videos is for the A-10's AGM-65 Maverick "fire and forget" anti-armor weapon. In the video, the demonstrator launches two AGM's at two different tanks. Now the two tanks should be destroyed and the demonstrator comments there are two kills. But in reality a nearby AAA shot down both Mavericks. :rotfl: In the end the demonstator flies back to base stating he has 4 kills even though the AAA shot down all four.

The F-15's are worse. One training mission teaches you how the radar can autotrack for the cannon, the pilot banks to the right and then into the ground, the plane explodes and yet the tutorial goes on. :rotfl: In another video its supposed to show you how to shoot down planes using different radar and missiles. He fires a AIM-120C at an F-16 in visual mode, where the missile is supposed to guide its self to the target. The F-16 out manuevers the missile and then comes up on the demonstrators F-15, which is flying perfectly straight and level while the demonstratos explains how to jam radar, and proceeds to shoot him down with its cannon.

I guess all the Lolwaffles retired to be flight trainers.
