Default Auto TDC

Hi guys
I updated to the latest TWOS and wish to have auto targeting. I have been entering all the details of the target manually, yet the torpedo solution line does not change, and points in a random direction on the nav map.

I want it so that I press the space bar on a target to lock on, unpress the space bar and fire and the torpedo will follow a correct path.

Someone has mentioned disabling the Manual TDC option with TDW File Editor. Is that right? How do I do that?

Thanks

Is the TDC locked? There is a black button with a red rig around it when the TDC is locked and white when unlocked.

Hi bstanko,
Well when I was inputting the data into the WO "chatbox" the TDC dials were showing corresponding and that they were changing to my inputs, but the solution line remained the same.

Auto TDC doesn't work by entering data in the dials or WO officer pop-up message, it is in fact much, much simpler:

First you must deactivate Manual TDC in the game options; unless you deactivate the last setting in the OFEV in the XOTDC tab, in which case you can switch from Manual TDC to Auto TDC in the WO message pop-up during game.
In-game, you then lock a target with spacebar (and optionally you identify it);
then you unlock again, this will send all calculations to the TDC automatically;
you then make the final aiming with the mouse on the ship part that you want to hit.
Finally, fire the torpedos that you have previously flooded and set speed and depth for. You will almost always score a hit because Auto TDC is nearly perfect except for duds.

Thank you folks, Xenon...once i've disabled Manual TDC am I correct in thinking I must start a new career? I've just loaded my career after changing the option and the target ship is stuck with my previous calculations I had made from the previous save.

Does this message ring any bells?

Never mind whose mistake it is. The point is , does this message solve your problem or maybe it's not clear enough? Should I change it a bit? Do you understand now how can you edit gameplay settings for your ongoing campaign? Of course, the question applies to everyone reading this...

EDIT:
I guess silence means you guys still have no clue what to do?

It does solve my problem, I was testing the new settings in game. The XO now comes up with all the calculations on his own, the only thing that concerns me is that he says speed is always 0 knots.
