Horrido Leitender,

great work!
I did a few things on the conning tower, too. I´ll try to post some pics later when I get home from work. Maybe we can share our results!

Beste Grüsse, Kurfürst

So here are some pictures of what I´ve done. It´s sipmly adding some small bits and pieces to the existing conning tower to make it look more like a real IX C/40 with a "Schnelltauchback". I took pictures of U 190 as an example and added little things like a schnorchel air intake tube, a modified schnorchel mast with head, Flakschutzbügel, and so on. I also reworked parts of the textures to make it look more realistic. All things are just modifications of existing things or Mods done by others, so nothing "really new" from me.

I just wanted to have that "real" feel of such a type of U-Boat, thats why I started working on it. I once again have to thank Privateer for creating the Schnelltauchback, "Danke", mate!

Here are some pics:

Beste Grüsse, Kurfürst

Great news. I missed this schnorchel air intake tube and your new mod/addition looks fantastic!

Hello kurfürst,

impressing! I assume you used photographs as template for the skin? And have you created a new 3d-model for the snorkel? We should shuffle our works together! I did some rework of the technical data like diving time and things like that. Some adjustments remain, but soon i can provide the results of my amateur work. Nice pictures, btw!

Beste Grüße zurück!

Yes, you´re right. In point of fact the picture was taken at an extremly short distance for getting a wide zoom effect. Normally you won´t notice that.

Many thx Leitender, very nice shots!

One question:

In the CCoM Basic.cfg is this the entry:

Z01_40=12; IX/3 C

All entries with "40" instead "50" as in your MOD. Must I change the entries in the File Static settings to make it compatible with CCoM?

I regret, Sir! A german u-boat had no quality lacks! In fact the boat was commissioned in 1944, almost 70 years ago, but my picture was taken yesterday! What you can see is a fatigue tear due to its long action.

magic

the affix "40" is a counter for all terms in the basic.cfg file. For the IXC boats, it starts in 1940 with "00", 1941 with "10" and so on. "40" means 1944 in this case.

I changed the conning type ("Turm") for 1944 to include privateer´s turm1 construction. It should work although i haven´t tested it with your big mod.

Greetings.
