Default SHIII with GWX crashing when starting patrol

I’ve been trying to play SHIII with GWX recently, but the game crashes when I start a patrol or enter the museum. Strangely, single missions seem to be working.

I’ve completely reinstalled the game and the mod, so I’m not sure what to do now. Could it have anything to do with graphics settings? I’d be very surprised, but you never know.

Probably nothing to do with your graphic settings, but rather with your RAM capacity...
Have you installed Large Adress Aware application to boost your RAM?
Have you installed the 4GB patch?
I run both for mega mods such as GWX or even TWOS
I highly recommand H.sie patch (for GWX) wich contains the 4GB patch inside, plus many other interesting features.

Glad you solved it!

On side note, museum isn’t that stable, and I avoid it usually (same in SH5)

It would appear that 4gb patch essential for SH3 is frequently being overlooked.
This can be found in my SH3 tutorials.
The Large Address Aware (LAA) application is also essential for SH4 only.
There is also an application for SH5 to also extend the available ram.
