Default 105 mm or recoiless rifle! your choice!!

^ http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/alaska-state-troopers/videos/preventative-avalanche/ I was thinkin' this too; My brother-in-law uses one (105 millimeter howitzer) at a ski resort near Park City, Utah...a little safer at this stage than getting on the hill in such a precarious position. We cannot Affjord needless Norwegian casualties! @ Sailor Steve the soundtrack is cool and it's your backyard! Iv'e skied right where this was filmed: What a variation on 'beating your sword into a plowshare!"

You guys are joking of course but i'm curious as to why they don't just deliberately trigger the event and get it over with. People have been evacuated and a no go zone established but what happens if it waits a few months before coming down. It doesn't seem very efficient to maintain the blockade for who knows how long.

Hey I wasn't joking! A 105 MM howitzer or some smart air ordinance (bunker buster) to trigger it would be useful. MOAB would be kool: OPERATION: Mjolnir fer sure.... a JDAM at least
