Default Seawolf and Swim-out torps

So, it looks and sounds like the Seawolf uses the standard air launch for fire'n torpedoes. I thought she had the capability to have the fish swim out for a quieter launch. Is this something that'll be implemented later on in the game?

You can edit the weapons file, add the line SwimOut=TRUE to the adcap torpedo (the MK37 and MOSS has it so you can just copy it there). It seems to work, at least I never get launch transient when fighting a seawolf during testing

It was just a design idea that was never used in practice.

From all the sources I can access, the Seawolf has 650mm tubes instead of the standard 533mm. The idea was to allow a MK 48 swimout to reduce counter-detection chances, so it should be in game and could be modded in in the short term.

Vadupleix's method makes all ADCAPs swimout. To make only Seawolf swimout ADCAPs you'd have to add a copy of the ADCAP(with a slightly different name) and add swimout to that weapon alone, and of course make the necessary replacement in the Seawolf's file.

Your data is wrong. Ask Jive.

I have said this before on here.
You CANNOT launch a MK-48 in Swimout.

In fact the FCS (Fire Control System) will not allow you to do this. You will never get a 'Launcher Ready' signal to make the launch interlocks.

Seawolf class uses a modified (upgraded) turbine pump from the Tridents to push the weapon out. It is much quieter than the ram pump used on 688's and before.. Virginia's use a modified (upgraded) version of the Seawolfs.

I ignore if a true 'swimout' feature is implemented in real subs because it would be very dangerous if this technique is not matured 100%, and if it was I imagine references are not made available...As said above I tip for an improved and more silent pump system.

In the classic RSR game swimouts are implemented. Also the fact that in CW there is a trigger for it doesn't mean it would fully work if activated (otherwise why not make it available in the game now that there are Seawolf class subs?).
