Ati 3870 512 to 1GB Nvidia

After buying SH5, will buy a 1GB card. Nvidia this time I think.
Will first try it with my ati 3870 512 card to see the difference.
As I have now quad core and 4gb of memory, no need to upgrade everything I hope.
But will upgrade my memory to faster speed.

8800GTS 512... yes, with 512MB.

Planning on using it till it goes poof or the upcoming GTX300 becomes too tempting. Or Radeon HD 5000 in case Nvidia drops the ball.
(which would all be "over 512MB" options)

256MB GeForce 8600GTS. Works like a charm (I can play CoD:WaW at max settings ) so I'm not planning to buy a new one any time soon.
