Default Question about editing game files regarding the weather/water.

When I am out on patrol, about 9 times out of 10, when I surface, I cannot use my deck gun because of "rough waters"... is there a way to make the weather calm all of the time, so that I can use the deck gun on merchant ships, and save torpedoes?

The only "mod" that I am using is "SH3Cmdr32"... however, I have used "Notepad++" to modify "Basic.cfg", and "S3D_V099" to modify several files, including "Shells.zon", "Torpedo.zon", "DepthCharges.zon", and "Guns_Sub.sim".

But when you edit StormConditions too high, watch officer do not use uniform for bad weather.
If you do not care about this then ok, but if you want to see your officer in properly uniform I recommend set StormConditions=11.
So, you can use deck gun when is wind speed is 11, above that speed you can not use it deck gun but your watch crew is properly uniformed

StormConditions has 2 values-max wind speed, max rain intensity. Which one do you suggest-"11"?
